Paul Von Lockhart, Jr.
February 21, 1938 - July 31, 2002
Paul Von Lockhart, Jr. was born February 21, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio to
Paul and Leon Lockhart. At the age of 17, he joined the US Army. He served
during the Korean Conflict for three years.
Paul spent his youth in Cincinnati, Ohio and his young adult life in
Akron, Ohio. He worked for General Tire Company with his father for a few years and
then moved to Youngstown, Ohio where he worked at the GE Lamp Plant as a machine
technican.
Paul was a gifted artist in oil paintings and sketches; a recognized
photographer; and an avid favorite pastime was fishing. He devoted 15 years to the
Warren Striders, a community summer track program as a coach, as well coaching other
sports programs briefly.
He was always active and adventurous in life, from being a paratrooper in
the Army, to golfing, to introducting his children to skiing, track and field, horseback
riding, and boating.
Paul dparted this life July 31, 2002 and is survivedby his son,
Christopher (Dejuana) Lockhart; daughter, Colette (Fred) Peterson; sister, Leona
Richardson; grandchildren, Latoya Peterson, Kimberly Peterson, Joy Peterson, Whittney
Lockhart, and Erica Gordon; a host of nieces. nephews, other relatives and friends.
We celebrate the life the Lord has allowed us to be a part of.
